Lifetime Structural Warranty*
BHK Of America offers a Lifetime Limited Structural Warranty* on its BHK It's A Snap and Moderna Lifestyle Glueless Laminate Flooring for residential use, (5 year limited commerical use**) to the original purchaser only, for as long as your own your home. This warranty covers only the approved product applications as recommended by BHK for its laminate flooring product line. BHK Laminate Flooring is also warranted against topical water damage under normal residential use. (*NOTE: BHK Moderna Vision V-Joint and BHK click Laminate Flooring products are not warranteed against topical water damage.) BHK warrants its products in their original manufactured state to be defect free with regard to lamination, assembly and milling.
Lifetime Performance Warranty
BHK warrants its BHK It's A Snap and Moderna Lifestyle Glueless Laminate Flooring for residential use in its original manufactured state to the original purchaser only for as long as you own your home. (5 year limited commercial use.**) BHK warrants that the surface will not fade, wear through, stain or fail due to moisture under normal usage.
The BHK Laminate Flooring warranty is made subject to the following conditions:
- BHK Flooring must be installed in accordance with BHK recommended installation instructions, using BHK underlayment and accessories. (Refer to specific product installation instructions.)
- Flooring is used for indoor applications only.
- Surface wear must be readily visible.
- Surface wear or damage is not the result of accidents or abusive conditions such as, but not limited to, damage caused by severe impact, scratching or cutting.
- BHK warrants that its laminate flooring (excluding Vision & click) is water resistant to topical water, cleaned up immediately. This warranty specifically excludes damage caused by leaking appliances, including but not limited to dishwashers, washing machines and refrigerators, hydrostatic pressure, overflows of fixtures resulting in surface penetration, leaky pipes or faucets, pet urine, flooding or acts of God.
- This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the floor and is not transferable.
- Proof of purchase required with claims.
- The owner and/or installer must inspect the product for color, finish and quality before installation. BHK cannot be held responsible for costs incurred when a floor with visible defects has been installed.
BHK WARRANTIES DO NOT COVER SCRATCHES OR DAMAGES CAUSED BY FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL THE MANUFACTURERS' SPECIFIC WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS, IMPROPER MAINTENANCE, NEGLIGENCE, INSECTS, INSUFFICIENT PROTECTION, IMPROPER ALTERATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURED FLOORING, NATURAL DISASTERS OR ACTS OF GOD. BHK ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IF YOUR STATE DOES NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
*THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO ALL FIRST QUALITY BHK & MODERNA BRAND PRODUCTS PURCHASED AFTER JANUARY 2003. BHK 15-1/2" x 15-1/2" LAMINATE FLOORING TILES OFFER A 25 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY FOR RESIDENTIAL USE.
**EXAMPLES OF LIGHT COMMERCIAL USE: HOTEL ROOMS, SMALL OFFICES & CONFERENCE ROOMS.
MAINTENANCE
BHK Laminate Flooring is basically maintenance free. For routine cleaning, all you need to do is dust mop or vacuum. For regular cleaning, use the BHK Laminate Floor Cleaner and Mop Kit. Spray BHK Laminate Floor Cleaner onto flat mop head or lightly spray the floor. Mop floor clean. (For BHK Moderna Toledo Cork Glueless Flooring, use the BHK Moderna Cork Flooring Cleaner.)
- Do not use soap based detergents, oil soaps or "one step" clean and shine products.
- Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleanser or scouring powder. (These will scratch the floor.)
- Never wax or polish your BHK Laminate Flooring.
Tips To Remember
- Regularly dust or vacuum to remove sand and dirt to avoid scratching your floor.
- Do not saturate the floor with water. Wipe up excess water immediately with a dry clean cloth.
- Place door mats at exterior entryways.
- Use felt protectors under all furniture.
- Use caution when moving large appliances such as refrigerators & stoves.
BHK Of America expressly excludes all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Under no circumstances shall BHK Of America be liable for any loss or damage arising from the purchase, use or inability to use this product, or for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
In the event of a claim meeting the conditions of the BHK Flooring warranty, BHK will repair or replace, at its option, the qualifying flooring material. This warranty covers the replacement cost of the flooring material or repair, and the reasonable labor costs to perform the replacement or repair. These are the consumer's sole and exclusive remedies for claims under this warranty.
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have other rights under state law. Your rights and the limitations described above may vary from state to state. It is important that you retain this warranty information.
Any claim made pursuant to this warranty, shall be made in writing, and shall be forwarded within thirty (30) days following the date of discovery or detection of the wear, fading or stain to the following address:
